How Shipwright handles your information: what stays on your phone, the little that leaves it when you buy full access, and how to delete it.
The short version
- No accountsYou never sign up or sign in. Your progress stays on your device.
- No ads or trackingShipwright has no analytics, ads or trackers, and we don't sell your information.
- The stores take paymentGoogle Play or Apple handle your payment. We never see your card.
- Delete it any timeReset progress in Settings, or delete the app.
Who we are
Shipwright is published by Budgts, LLC, which is responsible for the information described here. Our mailing address is 619 Springhouse Rd, Apt I, Allentown, PA 18104. Questions about privacy go to support@budgts.com.
What stays on your device
Shipwright keeps these on your phone only:
- Your learning. The lessons and modules you finish, your answers, your streak, your daily goal and your reviews.
- What you tell it. The name Finn calls you, if you give one, your answers to the welcome questions, and the documents you write for your builder's pack.
- Your settings. Theme, sound, music, motion and reminders.
None of it is sent to us or anyone else. If your phone backs up app data (Android's backup to your Google account, or iCloud, for example), that copy is kept under your own account's settings, and we can't see it.
Reminders
If you turn on reminders, your phone schedules them itself. No server is involved, and turning reminders off in Settings cancels them. Shipwright asks for permission to show notifications only for these reminders.
Purchases
When you buy full access, Google Play or Apple take the payment and confirm it to the app; we never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to check purchases and unlock full access, including on a new device. For this, RevenueCat receives:
- a random ID the app creates, which isn't your name or email;
- your purchases and subscription status: the product, price, currency, dates and the store's receipt;
- basic technical details: the platform, the operating system and app version, and your store's country.
We can see these purchase records in RevenueCat. RevenueCat is based in the United States and handles them as described in its privacy policy.
What we don't collect
Shipwright has no analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking tools. It doesn't use your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone. Its lessons, artwork, fonts and code ship inside the app, so it downloads nothing else while you learn.
This website
shipwright.budgts.com is hosted by Vercel, which logs requests (such as the time, the page and the IP address) to keep the site secure and working. The site sets no cookies and has no analytics.
Keeping and deleting your data
- To erase your progress, open Settings and tap Reset progress. Deleting the app also deletes everything it stored on your device.
- Purchase records stay in RevenueCat while they're needed for your access and for our accounting. To have them deleted, email support@budgts.com with the order number from your store receipt.
Your choices
You can use the free modules without buying anything, turn reminders off at any time, and reset or delete your data yourself. For anything else, including a question about what we hold, email support@budgts.com.
Children
Shipwright is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
